As the distributor for arts funding in Rockingham County, we offer the opportunity to apply for grants to support the arts every year. You may be an individual artist needing equipment and supplies for a project, seeking an avenue to study a topic, or looking for ways to produce and market your work. Are you part of an organization planning an arts-related event? Then consider our Grassroots Grants. They may be just what your group needs. Whether it’s for music, art, theatre, dance, literature or video, we can help you achieve your goal. Visit our web site or call for details.
Grant Recipients must include the Rockingham County Arts Council Logo and the NC Arts Council Logos on all of their printed materials.

The Grassroots Arts Program
Watch for official details when we open our Grassroots Grant process this Spring 2016.
Since 1977, the North Carolina Arts Council’s Grassroots Arts Program has provided North Carolina citizens access to quality arts experiences. The program distributes funds for the arts in all 100 counties of the state primarily through partnerships with local arts councils.
Rockingham County Arts Council serves as the N. C. Arts Council’s partner in awarding subgrants to local organizations for arts programs in Rockingham County.

Regional Artist Grants
The United Arts Council of Greater Greensboro coordinates the Regional Artist grant program on behalf of a consortium of five counties: Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph and Rockingham. Funding is provided by the North Carolina Arts Council and matched locally by participating counties. A limited number of grants are offered annually to residents of these counties to further their development as professional artists at any stage in their career.
