Pavers for Public Art

Pavers for Public Art

Put your word out and let folks know you are a supporter of public art in Rockingham County!

The artwork for our new county Justice Center has been realized through several sources: donations, business support and the purchase of pavers that can be seen in the sidewalk as we walk up to this new LEEDS certified building that houses our clerks, courts and jail in the back.

Sculptures on the entrance’s facade have been created by Reidsville’s Brad Spencer. Artwork has been purchased for the second floor and is all created by Rockingham County artists.

Our next project will create a fund that will purchase more public artwork, with some funds spent on artwork to embellish the remaining walls inside, and some funds spent on sculpture for the landscaped front. The Arts Council is pleased to be a part of the past projects and the current public art project. Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing a paver! All funds go to the project. If you missed a brick paver the first time, consider your purchase this round. A large part of your donation is tax deductible!
